Tim was born in Corvallis, Oregon. He received a Bachelor of Science degree (high honors) from the University of Montana in 1975 and a Juris Doctor (high honors) from the University of Montana School of Law in 1978. Tim served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Russell E. Smith of the United States District Court, District of Montana, from 1978-1979. In 1982, he graduated from the University of Florida College of Law with an LL.M. in Taxation (high honors).
Tim focuses his practice in the areas of business transactions, business planning, tax law, estate planning and commercial litigation. He represents individuals, corporations, small business owners and farmers and ranchers across the State of Montana. Tim is admitted to practice law in the state courts of Montana and the United States District Court for the District of Montana. He is a member of the State Bar of Montana and the Yellowstone County Bar Association. Tim is listed in Best Lawyers in America for tax.
